Origin Skin welcomes everyday Australians from all walks of life who want qualified practitioners skilfully using advanced skin technology, while still being treated with warmth, understanding and respect. Our clients have long told us that what stands out is how genuinely cared for they feel, and that human experience is something we want to protect as Origin Skin grows.

In multicultural Australia, our clients bring a wide range of skin tones and types, which can have different treatment needs and responses. Our practitioners are educated in these differences, helping us select technology and treatment appropriately rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Why we wanted to do skincare differently
Origin Skin grew from recognising something missing between two sides of the industry: appearance-focused skin care shaped by beauty pressures, and highly clinical environments that can sometimes feel emotionless and too sterile. We believe educated skin care can combine medical knowledge and advanced technology with warmth, honesty and genuine human connection.

We encourage self-love and acceptance, while also understanding the deeper emotions that can lead someone to seek change in their skin. Wanting to feel more comfortable or confident doesn't mean rejecting who you are. Our role is to listen without judgement and support the choices that feel right for you.

While our industry may consider itself accepting of everyone, few clinics openly say it. Whatever your background, culture, beliefs, gender, sexual orientation or identity, you are welcome here and safe to be yourself.

Why the Origin & eucalyptus symbolism?
Everyone has an origin story. Just like looking back at day one of your skin journey can show you how far you've come, Origin represents where we begin, what has shaped us and the changes that happen along the way.

You'll see a lot of Australian blue gum and eucalyptus symbolism throughout Origin Skin. Eucalyptus can respond to heat with regeneration and new growth, much like the way many of our laser, light and energy technologies trigger the skin's natural healing and renewal responses. For us, it's a distinctly Australian symbol of resilience, regeneration and working with what naturally exists within us.

Mary Lotfi
Clinic Owner
Mary has over 20 years of experience across clinical, surgical and aesthetic skin treatments, with a particular focus on advanced laser therapies and non-surgical procedures. Her background in medicine and general surgery gives her a broad understanding of skin, vascular concerns and benign skin lesions, allowing her to approach treatment with both clinical knowledge and practical experience.

She has extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of laser and energy-based technologies, including Fotona, Fraxel, Pico, IPL, COâ‚‚ and Erbium lasers, as well as Candela GentleLase, HIFU and radiofrequency systems. She has developed particular expertise in vascular laser treatments, skin lesion procedures and technologies designed to support skin quality, rejuvenation and repair.

Mary has also worked as a cosmetic laser therapist and trainer, sharing her experience with other practitioners and continually building on her knowledge of emerging technologies and treatment techniques.

Since 2015, Mary has also been a managing owner within the skin and aesthetics industry, combining clinical experience with a strong focus on client care, communication and the overall treatment experience.

Maryam is a Registered Cosmetic Nurse and certified FOTONA Laser specialist, passionate about combining medical expertise with aesthetic care. With a focus on safe, effective treatments, she specialises in enhancing natural beauty and restoring confidence through personalized skincare solutions and advanced non-invasive procedures.

Maria Sison
Dermal Therapist
With over 15 years of combined experience across Australia and overseas, Maria’s background in beauty and laser therapy brings a strong foundation in laser treatments, skin rejuvenation and advanced beauty therapies. Her professional journey is supported by a nursing degree obtained overseas, providing solid knowledge of health, anatomy, skin health, client care and safety.
Combining her nursing background with extensive experience in the beauty and aesthetics industry, she takes a professional and personalised approach to every treatment, helping clients achieve healthy, radiant and naturally refreshed-looking skin.
Pip Stoneham
Head of Marketing
Pip brings more than 20 years of creative strategy and production experience, shaped by multicultural storytelling through time at World Movies and SBS. She enjoys using creativity to support grassroots and minority communities, from managing SBS Education’s multicultural Australian curriculum resources, to supporting First Nations voices with NITV and the AEC, and celebrating LGBTQI+ communities through Eurovision and Mardi Gras.

Her career has seen her lead creative work across five FIFA World Cups, eleven Tours de France, UEFA, FA and A-League competitions, the WNBA/NBA, and more, producing major purpose-led campaigns such as Hyundai’s The Search for Sustainability and McDonald’s celebration of culturally diverse fans. She has directed influencers, commentators and even world-renowned chefs, across everything from immersive technology to print. At the other end of the scale, she has helped small businesses build their brands from the ground up.
