What is Facial Skin Laxity?
Facial skin naturally changes over time as collagen, elastin and other supporting structures gradually decline. This can lead to looser or sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, changes around the cheeks and mouth, and reduced definition through the jawline and lower face.
Sun exposure can accelerate collagen breakdown and contribute to changes in skin texture and tone, while genetics, smoking, environmental exposure and changes in facial fat and underlying structures can all influence how and when these changes become noticeable.

Fotona 4D combines four complementary Er:YAG and Nd:YAG laser stages, including treatment from inside the mouth, deeper facial heating and a light resurfacing peel. Working at different depths, these stages stimulate collagen remodelling and support improvements in facial firmness, texture and overall skin quality.

A face-to-face consultation is required before treatment. Your practitioner will assess your individual concerns, skin and medical history, medications, lifestyle and genetic factors, treatment goals and preferences around downtime to develop a treatment plan suited to you. The eye area and neck can be assessed separately for other rejuvenation treatments where appropriate.
Treatment may be delayed or unsuitable during pregnancy, after recent tanning, over active infection or broken skin, or where medicines or health conditions affect healing or light sensitivity.

If volume loss is also a concern, we can assess whether laser tightening alone is suitable or whether other options should be considered.
Fotona 4D is a laser-based treatment using Er:YAG and Nd:YAG technology. The Fotona 4D treatment itself does not involve injections. Your practitioner can discuss other treatment options separately during your consultation if they are relevant to your individual concerns.
This treatment focuses on facial lifting, tightening and rejuvenation. If your main concern is loose or ageing skin on the neck, our Non-Surgical Laser Neck Lift provides a more targeted treatment option. We can assess facial and neck concerns together during your consultation. The neck is not included as part of Origin Skin's Fotona 4D facial treatment but can be added to your session as an extra.
The eye area is not included as part of Origin Skin's Fotona 4D facial treatment.
